This site is designed to assist students with their understanding and know-
how of 21st century research and the writing process using the American
Psychological Association-Style (APA), Chicago-Style, and Modern
Language Association-Style (MLA) documentation formats. To this end, I
have written this site using all three documentation formats: APA, Chicago,
and MLA. However, equally as important as your understanding and know-
how of 21st century research skills is the ability to follow directions,
specifically your instructor's directions. Note: If you are new to 21st century
research and the writing process, I recommend that you read through each
page of this site in the order of the site's navigation.
The information contained in this site has been prepared for students of the
Washington Metropolitan Area Consortium of Universities (WMCU) that was
formed to facilitate the coordination of resources among its members;
however, anyone who is interested in the writing process and research is
welcome to use this site (University 15). The other WMCU members are,
The American University, The Catholic University of America,
Corcoran College of Art + Design, Gallaudet University, Georgetown
University, George Mason University, The George Washington
University, Howard University, University of Maryland (College Park
Campus), Marymount University of Virginia, Southeastern University,
Trinity University, National Defense University, and National Defense
Intelligence College. (University 15)
It should be noted that I have prepared this site as my course project for
UDC's summer 2009 Computers and Composition class taught by Helene
Krauthamer, PhD. Every effort has been made to insure the accuracy of the
information presented; therefore, any errors on this site are unintentional.
